Milla Urbana Isla de Ibiza 2026: Results, Winners and a Near-Record Run in Sant Antoni

The Milla Urbana Isla de Ibiza has been a fixture on the Balearic athletics calendar for over four decades, and the 43rd edition gave the crowd on the Passeig de la Mar plenty to talk about.

For the first time in the race's history, the event moved out of its traditional autumn slot and into the summer calendar. Organised by Pep Ribas and the Club J.A.S.A. (Joventut Atlètica Sant Antoni), the shift brought a new atmosphere. Runners competed under clear skies and intense heat, conditions that made the times even more impressive.

In the men's elite mile, local athlete Mark Roper took the win in 4:15. The 19-year-old, who competes for Jacksonville State University in the US and holds a licence with Club Atletisme Pitiús, held off El Hocine Bouchark by a single second. Álex Galindo completed the podium in 4:21.

The women's race was equally compelling. Daniela García crossed the line in 5:03, a time the official race account described as very close to the circuit record. Lucía Santamaría finished second in 5:11, with Sarah Moya third in 5:21.

Both winners received trophies with deep roots in Spanish athletics history: Roper took home the Mariano Haro trophy, García the Carmen Valero trophy. Carmen Valero's sister and partner were present at the ceremony.

The 5K brought its own local story. Ibicenco athlete Adrián Guirado of Peña Deportiva Santa Eulária won the men's race in 15:52, improving on his winning time from the previous October edition. Verónica Castro, also of Peña Deportiva, took the women's 5K in 20:19.

Over 300 competitors took part across all categories on a closed urban circuit in the heart of Sant Antoni, a race that has quietly become one of the most consistent events on the island's sporting calendar.
