Es Pujols is Formentera's main resort, on the north coast of the island. It has the island's only real urban beach, a shell-shaped curve of white sand with calm, clear water. A promenade runs along the front, lined with bars, restaurants and old fishing huts. It is the liveliest place on this otherwise quiet island, and the hub of its nightlife.

Es Pujols is best known as the busiest and most lively corner of Formentera. Its white sandy beach has shallow, turquoise water and small islets just offshore. A seafront promenade links the bars and restaurants, with traditional fishing boat huts along the way. By night, this is where the island comes out to play, with a strip of bars and the long-running Club Tipic, going since the 1970s. Even so, the nightlife is gentle compared to Ibiza. On summer evenings a small craft market sets up along the promenade.

Base yourself here for the beach by day and the bars by night. Swim and sunbathe on the town beach, then walk the promenade past the old boat huts. In the evening, browse the craft market and work through the bars, or head to Club Tipic for a dance. The beach faces east, so it is also a fine spot to watch the sunrise. A boardwalk leads off towards quieter coves and the famous beaches further along the coast.
